Sewing is a great way to pass the time during this COVID-19 Quarantine. We are all the same world wide. We thought a sewing contest would be inspiring during this time. Everyone is encouraged to enter regardless of sewing expertise or experience. This contest is open to everyone, worldwide. We can't wait to see your masterpiece. 

We have 2 different categories you can enter, each with a grand prize of $75 of store credit.
The contest runs now until June 30, 2020 so get to sewing.

HOW TO ENTER
We are looking for original creations you have created from our very own unique Batik fabrics and paintings. While one of our batiks must be used, your design can also feature other fabrics as well. There is no limit to number of entries you can send in.


Take a Photo and Send it to us
Send us a photo of your finished project using any of our Batik paintings and/or fabrics.

We would love for you to include a photo of yourself, a description of the project including any techniques, materials, or patterns used and what was your inspiration or motivation.
Please: Photo of entry submitted need to be in focus and clearly show the whole project.

Category One – Wearable

Wearable art can be anything which is created in such a manner that it is an art piece designed to be worn. This is category is for Fashion and Accessories –Which includes but not limited to Outfits, tops, jewelry, purses, bags, any garments, fashion accessory, etc.


Category Two- Viewable


Viewable art can be anything which is created in such a manner that it is an art piece designed to be displayed. Viewable Batiks- which includes but not limited to Quilts, home décor, table runners, wall hangings, fiber art, etc.


The Detailed Rules
There is no new purchase requirement to participate! This competition is open to everyone. The entry must be your own work and not violate any copyright laws, submissions can be newly or previously made. You can enter as many times as you wish, inas many categories as you wish. There is no limit to the number of submissions you can enter. Entries that do not abide by these terms and conditions may be disqualified. All competitors will receive an entry acknowledgement email. If you do not receive an entry acknowledgement email please check the spam folder.
By entering this competition you give permission for Indonesian Batiks to publish your entries in print, online and on social media and to promote future competitions. We will not sell or give to others, any of the images. Indonesian Batiks reserves the right to edit the photo only to better feature the project (such as dropping out a distracting background).
We will not alter the actual project in any way.
Winners – one from each category – will be selected by our team of judges. Submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by a panel of appointed judges (some of our customers!) to choose the top within the two categories. Winners will be announced the first weeks of July in weekly email and on our social media.
The Grand Prize for each category is $75 of indobatiks.com store credit. This credit is only good for merchandise. Awards are for online store credit and have no cash value. Please note: Cannot be used for patterns, applicable taxes or shipping. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash or replaced if lost.
