Submitted Projects

Something's Fishy- Submitted by Nancy Anders

"This is a quilt inspired by a trip to Cambodia.  It was made with fabric scraps from past quilts with the exception of the batik art print in the center.  The scrap pieces came from a Yellow Brick Road pattern of squares which I cut into triangles and then sewed back together with other triangle halves
to create a mish mash of odd piecing."

"The batik itself is my inspiration for creating this cross body bag.  That & living in Maine inspired me to use sea life images exclusively.  I've made several. I hand quilt batik front image. Back & strap are black solid fabric to showcase the beautiful batik art.  Added one outside zippered pocket, top zipper closure, & one inside pocket. Lining fabric coordinates with batik & is a batik print.  All 100% cotton. Each bag is unique.  No two are ever exactly the same. My friends & family love them."
